Activity: Commitment
1. Who in the school (or local) community, in your judgment, has rendered the greatest service to people? Why?
2. What actual services has he/she rendered to the community? 3. How have these services and this person affected the community? Affected you personally? 4. Do you know of other persons in the school, community (local, regional or national) who were recipients of service awards? 5· What do they have in common with the persons you have chosen? (Focus on the service all of them have rendered. Allow for discussion and lead the group to understand what REAL AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE is). Project/Activity/Requirement a.) The group can decide to confer a citation or certification on the person they think has done the greatest service to the school or locals community. They can agree on one person from among those presented by the small groups. The group members themselves can write the citation or certification. They should decide on the date and manner of conferring it. The duplicate copy with a note “received by … “should be submitted to the subject teacher. b.) Ask the group to make up one or two sixty-second commercials to persuade people to become committed Christians. |
